Location

Both apartments are superbly located in the centre of Nice and are close to shops restaurants and the seafront. Almost everywhere in Nice and the surrounding areas can be easily reached by public transport.  A car is probably unnecessary unless you need to go up into the hills behind Nice.  There is a limited amount of car parking at meter bays in the surrounding streets or in the nearby public car parks.

Seafront Apartment

This apartment is located at 47 Promenade des Anglais and has a sea view. The Forum beach is on the other side of the promenade and the world famous Negresco Hotel and the Musée Masséna are just 2 minutes walk away.   All major amenities are within 20 minutes easy walking distance including:

  • Restaurants and bars - French, Italian, Greek, Mexican, Indian and American
  • Local shops and supermarkets Entertainment - clubs, casinos, cinemas and theatres 
  • Shopping on the Avenue Jean Medecin and the pedestrian precinct in the Avenue de France (to name a few) Museums and art galleries (at least 12 although some are perhaps more than 10 minutes away)  
  • The old town of Nice and its quaint streets and famous flower market
  • Covered shopping market - a gastronome's paradise - open every day

Carré d'Or Apartment

This apartment is located in central Nice in the rue Maccarani, a quiet street leading down to the promenade des Anglais. Opposite the apartment is a beautiful public garden and fine Protestant church.  All major amenities are within 10 minutes easy walking distance including:

  • The old town of Nice and its quaint streets and famous flower market

Getting Around


Public transport is extremely good and very inexpensive. A single bus/tram ticket costs 1€ and will take you all along the coast to the surrounding towns and villages, including Antibes, Cannes, Grasse and Vence. There are also trains, taxis and even bicycle rickshaws.  The airport is about 7km (4 miles away).

The main SNCF railway station is within 10 minutes walk and has frequent services along the Cote d'Azur to Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and Ventimille, all major cities in France and also to Italy (Genoa and Milan).
